Winsor & Newton Sepia is a black brown colour. Originally made in the 18th century from the ink sacks of cuttlefish. For use with dip pens, fountain pens, technical pens and brush.
Calligraphy is a noble, old art-form and Winsor & Newton were determined to do it justice - these inks are made in 18 light-fast colours with carefully chosen pigments to ensure colour brilliance.
The blue-capped Winsor & Newton bottles (of which this ink is one) contain thinner, more transparent inks with a satin finish. They're suitable for dip-pens, fountain pens, technical pens and airbrushes.
The red-capped Winsor & Newton bottles are opaque and should be used with a dip-pen or brush.
Winsor & Newton Calligraphy Inks have a permanence rating of AA or A but are not waterproof.
The small glass bottle contains 30ml of ink.
