    • A Soft writing experience

The Pilot Metal Falcon is a metal version of the popular Falcon series. It is slightly larger and heavier than the resin Falcon and has a soft 14k rhodium-plated gold nib that will give you line variation as you change writing pressure. The slightly longer body has enough room to use the included Pilot Con-70 converter which means greater ink capacity for longer writing sessions. This fountain pen has either a soft fine or soft medium nib and comes gift boxed.

The Falcon can be used with IC-50 ink cartridges but is also supplied with a con-70 converter to allow use of bottled ink.

Your choice of Soft Fine or Soft Medium Nib.

Supplied in a luxury gift box.

This pen will ship for free via express post within Australia.

    • Using a fountain pen is a special experience that simply cannot be matched by regular pens.

You have two choices for holding the ink in your pen; Cartridge or Bottled Ink via the Ink converter.

Each Pilot Falcon pen comes with one Black ink cartridge and one button press ink converter (con 70). To use the cartridge you must twist open the body of the pen, push the cartridge onto the prong of the feeder to pierce the cartridge and lock it in place. Then leave the pen nib down to allow the ink to flow through the pen for a few minutes. Don’t be concerned if it takes a little while to begin writing. Cartridge Refills are available here Pilot Cartridges

Your second option is to use bottled ink such as Iroshizuku  or Bookbinders Snake Ink and to use the converter that comes with each pen. You attach this to the pen in the same way as an ink cartridge, then submerge the entire nib in the bottle of ink. Press the black button of the converter to draw ink up inside the converter. It may take a few presses to completely fill. Then take a paper towel and dry the nib.

To clean your fountain pen we suggest using lukewarm (not hot) water to clear out the nib and feed until the water appears clear. You can do this by dipping the pen in the water, or if using a converter draw the water up inside and push back out. Then touch dry with paper towel and add fresh ink. The pen may write a little watery at first, but this is normal.
