That portion features a stripe of vibrant orange ink with a soft-touch varnish. The cover text is embossed, giving the whole book a retro-futuristic machine feel.
This notebook is a Field Notes first with no staples! It's bound with a special glue called PUR, it's flexible making it open up much flatter than the usual glued book.
The inside is a bright white paper with grey ruled lines.
